Latest News on Tow Show 2008 - 2nd May 2008

The European Tow Show is now Globally number one… well according to the Google search engine!. It is a far cry from five years ago when we just managed to slip in at the bottom of the ratings! The European Tow Show has moved up another gear. The final few available stands are being negotiated as the last few exhibitors make their choices.

You wil see that the show website has undergone some major enhancements, one of which is the ability to pay online for social events etc. All who attended last year will be contacted via the new mass mailing system. They will be invited to make priority bookings for the business conference and or any social events .

When you receive your personal invite it is very important to go to the home screen and hit the log in button on the top right. If you cannot remember your ID or password don’t worry, just click on the lost ID password key and we will reset if for you asap.

Please do not trying registering again, all that does is to confuse the database management system when you come to book! To authenticate your entry the system looks at your full name and e-mail address and where possible your ID number. If in doubt hit the ‘contact us’ button on the top bar and send us an e-mail with all your information again and we will scan the system, then reset your password and contact you with you new details by return e-mail.

Once you have logged on to your profile go to the ‘my tickets’ tab. Click on that and you will be offered the opportunity to register for the business seminar and also book social tickets for the Thursday and Friday evening. Just select the number of tickets for each evening, the system will work out the totals. Click on ‘book tickets’ and follow the online credit card payment system to the check out. Once completed return to the ‘my invoice’ section on your profile where you can print off a copy of your invoice, should you so wish.

I the business seminar side of things we will now be holding the conference on the Friday. We had several major exhibitors voice their concerns that a conference each day took their potential customers out of circulation. So we have listened to our customers, Thursday 28th June is a day without any conference or industry meetings.

The business seminar will be held on the Friday 29th June, commencing at 11.30 hrs and concluding at around about 13.30 hrs. As always it will be packed with the latest need to know information from key players in the market place.

On the social events side, we have tried over the years to try and put together something different each year. The fifth anniversary bash held last year was for sure a bit special. That has caused us a few headaches as to what we can do which is “different” this year.  

So this year, for the Thursday, we are staging a Chinese evening. There will be a sumptuous meal followed by Chinese dancers and actors celebrating the year of the rat. After that there will be a tribute act guaranteed to get the party going, which will be followed by the Big Zap disco and light show. During the evening the industry stand and truck awards will be made.

For Friday we really think that we have found something different.  After a superb meal, Jed Stone, our resident MC and all round one man entertainer, will commence the proceedings for the evening.

The star act of the evening will be The Rat Pack show. This is a tribute show which is dedicated to three all time greats Dean Martin, Sammy Davies Jnr and the late great Frank Sinatra, with a special tribute guest appearances from Marilyn Monroe & Barbara Streisand. The show has received fabulous testimonials all over the world where they have performed and hopefully we will have again found a winning act which is “different”.

Their will also be the RISC raffle during the evening, along with the two prestigious awards; the “innovation award” and the “personal achievement award”. The evening will be rounded off by the Big Zap disco and light show.

I am also happy to inform you that Dee Fisher “The Lady Singer” will be entertaining us in the Holiday Inn. This event will take place after the Friday evening charity function. For those who attended the after show party last year I am sure you will all be waiting for the return event this year… oh and yes there will be a hog roast as the party progresses. There is no script for this event and it is a classic ad lib wind down party where the one and only objective is for everyone is to have great time and especially for the team to unwind. Dee is the lady to make this happen.
