Towshow Business Conference takes place Friday 27th June
This year sees the ever popular Towshow conference session moved from its usual Thursday slot to Friday, to ensure that everyone gets a chance to visit the stands and discuss the industry before attending what we hope will be the best Business Conference that has been seen at Telford International Centre.
Chaired by independent Conference Chairman, Dave Ebsworth, this years central theme will be the hot issue of Statutory Fee’s. Could this at last be the year the Home Office resolve one of the thorniest issues in our industry and we finally see our specailist work and financial commitment recognised?
Leading players from within our industry and those with government inside knowledge will give Conference delegates an insight into the position at this moment and what has been done, and by who, to bring about the changes.
Whatever your own involvement has been over the last year, with the consultation and subsequent to-ing and fro-ing with the various Government agencies, we are confident that attendance at this years conference will give you some new information and useful insight into what the future holds for the ‘fourth emergency service’.
An unexpected and added bonus may well be that the Chief Executive of the Road Haulage Association, Roger King, has been invited to close this years Business Conference. The reason being that he retires from his position at the RHA in May 2009 and, as a strong supporter of the rescue and recovery sector, he may well provide us with a lively summing up of what has been said over the two hour session, as well as his thoughts on the future in this period of high anxiety and low confidence.
The Towshow Business Conference Agenda is likely to be as follows:
Opening Address by Conference Chairman - David Ebsworth
- ‘The Credit Crunch…will your business survive it?’
- ‘Statutory Fees …. the latest news from the people who know’
- ‘Incident Management’
- ‘The Highways Agency requirements for training …. are you ready?’
- Information & Technology …..the next big step!’
- ‘A Legal Update’
Summing up and closing address by Roger King, CEO RHA.
We expect the Business Conference to close at 1.00pm, at the latest. don’t miss it…………….book now on this website by going to the events page and following the link shown within the Conference section.
