Now that 2004 has come and gone preparations for the above have moved up a gear or two. Since the pre-show launch in October a lot of behind the scene’s work has been going on. The massive task of creating the exhibitors site plan then have it transferred to a computer generated system has now been completed, our thanks goes to Chris Jones for managing and creating this focal centre piece which is essential for organising the show. The site map can be found on our website here
Some off you may already have noticed that the website has been changed. We would like to thank Lynn Engledew of Recovery World for her voluntary help and support in getting our website off the ground and up and running over the last couple of years. We have both agreed that this is now a full time job and to that end we have found a company who are capable and able of carrying on her good work.
The task off running this on a day-to-day basis will now fall into the capable hands of a guy called Simon O’Connor from Midhost Designs. One of the new features of the site is on line registration, when you have completed the on line registration you will be emailed a computer generated unique booking number. On arrival at the show use the fast track entrance, just quote your number and move swiftly into the concourse.
This will be the theme for Telford 2005. Each of us is either someone’s customer or they may very well be a customer of yours. The question is how well do you look after your customer or indeed in reverse how well does your supplier look after you, their customer.
The team have been discussing this for a few weeks and we will shortly be letting you the customer of the European Tow show and the rescue and recovery industry what we intend to do, to drive this initiative forward. Any thoughts or ideas on this one please pop them in an email to mail@towshow.co.uk, your thoughts and ideas would be most welcome.
We have made several visits to Telford for set up and planning meetings during those meetings we met with several interested parties who wished to host functions at the show. From those meetings we are pleased to announce that both the Rac and Green Flag will be holding separate seminars at the European Tow show.
Green Flag will be holding their event on Thursday 26th May 2005. The European Tow show has become the focal point for the rescue and recovery industry, Ken Hurley Green Flag's National Networks Manager said;
“A conference that brings together our network of operators and key people at Green Flag provides a tremendous opportunity to provide an update on the great changes at the company over the past few years," said "We will be able shed some light on Green Flag's role and positioning within the RBS Insurance structure, discuss our plans face-to-face and, importantly, hear and take on board the comments and views from operators, who play such a key role in our business model."
On the Friday the Rac will be hosting a contractors mini conference herewith a copy of their press release.
Motoring organisation RAC will be using the European Tow Show to host a meeting of its nationwide network of contractors.
"Our nationwide network of contractors provide an important supporting role in the provision of roadside services to our members," said RAC Operations Contracts Manager Nigel Tuffey. "Knowing just how important the European Tow Show is in the recovery industry calendar, we felt it was an ideal opportunity to host a meeting of this kind."
